Ingrid’s approach to counselling helps clients examine their challenges from a systemic perspective, providing guidance in exploring the biological, psychological, social and spiritual areas of their lives. This individualized therapeutic approach helps clients contemplate issues while identifying areas for positive growth.
Educated at York University - Honours degree in Psychology and at Tyndale University - Masters of Divinity specializing in Clinical Counselling, Ingrid strives to create a welcoming and nurturing environment for her clients. The goal is to support people through the multilayered and diverse issues which led them to therapy.
She has provided services for clients from diverse backgrounds; integrating a number of therapy model techniques including: family systems, cognitive and behavioural, psychodynamic, person-centered and solution-focused.
Ingrid is a firm believer in donating her time to worthy causes, and has focused on giving back to the Afro-Canadian community. She has advised on workshops, webinars and programs for multiple organizations and currently serves on the Advisory Council with Kujenga Family Wellness Project. She is also an associate therapist with Generation Chosen, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the emotional intelligence of youth and young adults in underserved populations.
